Organica's "Natural Lawn Program" is designed to reestablish these beneficial microbial populations and provide the soil with the necessary components to promote healthy controlled growth and reduce plant stress. Each component is synergistic further increasing the efficacy & overall performance of the program!!
STEP 1

LAWN BOOSTER (8-1-1): Apply in Spring
Patented biologically enhanced fertilizer (US Patent No. 6,228,806)
Contains corn gluten, bone meal, sulfate of potash & beneficial soil bacteria
Provides slow release N, P, K / Does not push excessive growth
Improves nutrient availability (solubizes P, K & fixes atmospheric N)
Improves soil structure, increases humus levels
Provides turf with increased resistance to environmental extremes (drought, heat, foot traffic)

STEP 2

KELP BOOSTER: Apply Late Spring
Bio-stimulant / Contains plant growth hormones, micronutrients, vitamins & amino acids
Stimulates healthy turf growth, increases root development
Provides turf with essential micronutrients, amino acids & vitamins
Provides turf with increased resistance to environmental extremes (drought, heat, foot traffic)
Rich in calcium (essential for cell wall development & plant growth)

STEP 3

MICROBIAL SOIL CONDITIONER: Apply Early Summer
Microbial soil inoculant / Contains beneficial soil bacteria, actinomyces, fungi, vitamins, amino acids Provides turf with increased resistance to environmental extremes (drought, heat, foot traffic)
Improves nutrient availability (solubilizes P, K, Ca, Mg and fixes atmospheric N)
Rich in calcium (essential for cell wall development & plant growth)
Improves soil structure, increases humus levels

STEP 4

LAWN BOOSTER (8-1-1): Apply Early Fall
Patented biologically enhanced fertilizer (US Patent No. 6,228,806)
Provides slow release N, P, K / Does not push excessive growth
Sustains turf through fall & winter months
Provides increased resistance to environmental extremes (drought, heat, cold, foot traffic)
Improves soil structure, increases humus levels

Beneficial Insects

ORCON
Beneficial Insects- The Ultimate Eco-Friendly Solution For Pest Control Problems

Praying Mantids
Controls-Grasshoppers, Grubs, Beetles and Caterpillars (although they will eat pretty much anything good or bad!)
Care and Release-Mantid casings do not require much care. They should be kept cool until released.  Release throughout the growing season-Spring through summer.
How they work-Each casing can have as many as 150 insects hatch from it.  And most packages contain 2 casings. Mantids will eat smaller insects when they hatch, including each other.  The strong will survive and will be territorial. Once the season ends, they will lay their egg casings on your property for the following season.

Ladybugs
Controls- Aphids, Scale, Mealybugs and other soft-bodied pests.
Care and Release- Release throughout the growing season, when bugs are present.  Ladybugs come in a container of 1500 insects and it's normal to have a few dead bugs due to the volume of bugs per container. They will stay dormant if they stay cool.  Keep in a fridge until release. Release in the evening at the base of the affected plants as they will move up the plant to find their food.
How the work-As long as there is food in the area, the ladybugs will hang around and continue to eat pests.  Once their food sources disappear, the ladybugs may move on to neighboring properties.

Beneficial Nematodes
Controls- They target fungus gnats that come in on houseplants. Nematodes can also control the larval or grub stage of Japanese Beetles, Northern Masked Chafer, European Chafer, Rose Chafer, Fly larvae, Oriental Beetles, June Beetles, Flea beetles, Bill-bugs, Cut-worms, Army worms, Black Vine Weevils, Strawberry Root Weevils, Sciarid larvae, Sod Web-worms, Girdler, Citrus Weevils, Maggots and other Dip-tera, Mole Crickets, Iris Borer, Root Maggot, Cabbage Root Maggot, Carrot Weevils and more!
Care and Release- Best to apply when soil is not frozen (spring, summer or fall).  Store in a cool place until application and avoid UV light and heat when storing.  Beneficial Nematodes are very easy to use. Mix with water and spray or sprinkle on the soil along garden plants or lawn. Put the contents of the Beneficial nematodes in a bucket of water and stir to break up any lumps, and let the entire solution soak for a few minutes. After application keep the soil moist during the first two weeks for the nematodes to get establish. For a small garden the best method is using a simple sprinkling or water can to apply the Beneficial nematodes to the soil. Best to apply water first if soil is dry and avoid fertilizer application 2 weeks before and after release.
How they work- The beneficial nematode enters the larva/insect via mouth, anus or respiratory openings and starts to feed. This causes specific bacteria to emerge from the intestinal tract of the nematode. These spread inside the insect and multiply very rapidly. The bacteria convert host tissue into products which can easily be taken up by the nematodes. The soil dwelling insect dies within a few days. Beneficial nematodes are a totally safe biological control in pest insects. The Beneficial nematodes are so safe the EPA has waived the registration requirements for application.
