Saranae Kurtz opened Achin' Back Garden Center for business in October 2004.  Achin' Back is a family-owned and operated business that takes great pride in family values, providing top-notch customer service and providing the local community with high-quality products. The Kurtz family has been involved in the green industry for over 35 years, with husband, Randy, running Chesco Landscaping since 1972.  Saranae studied horticulture at Temple Ambler, before embarking on the journey to open this beautiful retail store. 

Over the past six years, the local community has changed drastically and we have grown and adapted as a new, local business. Big box stores and outlet malls have popped up all over the grid, making it even harder for the "Mom & Pop" stores to survive.  We have specialized our business to feature organic products, locally grown plant material, unique items and gifts, beautiful floral arrangements and excellent customer service and gardening advice. 

Saranae's daughter, Kelli, is the manager at Achin' Back.  Together with their team of knowledgeable employees, Kelli and Saranae make sure that every customer is treated like family and are satisfied with all of their purchases. Please stop in and see what we are all about...
